I was wondering if anyone does or has raced a T-Maxx in the truck division. If you have and are willing to part with some information I would surely appreciate it. I have never raced before and recently picked up a T-Maxx form a friend. I was wondering what shock springs to use, front and rear (I have red on there now), shock oil weight for the same and should I be concerned with the diff fluids right now. I am wondering if I should wait until after a couple of races before I do anything to the diffs. Also, I have a set of Bow-Tie's and a set of stock tires, I am willing to bet that the Bow-Tie's are a far better choice than the stock, right? Anyway, will the bow-Tie's be a good choice or should I look into getting a different kind of tires. Can anyone help out. Thanks a lot for your input, it is much appreciated.

monster.traxxas.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=36Here is a good link to a Tmaxx forum for setups and such. As for your tires bow ties are a very good all around choice for the MT class. The GRP tires are great or the new LPR series from proline seem to be good if you are wanting to upgrade tires. If its used I would get into the diffs and clean/new oil. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.......BTW Im gonna move this thread to the MT tech section and we can keep you informed over here.

I appreciate the help. I thought I would put it in that forum because that is the track I wanted to race on and I thought the locals may be willing to give some inside information pertaining to the track. I am grateful for your guidance though. What weight diff oil should I use, never really rebuild diffs before. Thanks again.

As for setting up for the Loganville track.......Its pretty tight and very technical.....You want to stay in the groove and carry speed to make all the doubles and have speed for the straights....For a MT you want to get you center of gravity as low as you can, and the weight toward the front.....Any steering mods and or stronger servo for quick tight steering.... I ran 3.5 rate and 3.8 rate F/R springs with 50/45 wt oil for my revo at this track and it seems ok..The Maxx might be a little heavier though.....But no matter what you drive or how you set it up, its all about keeping it on the tires and in the groove ;D practice......
