More little tidbits of info to keep you hungry:
Dave Leikam has just finished the pit lane. It is 2.5 feet tall and 40 feet long. The driver's stand is well underway. It too will be 40 feet long and you will stand either 8 or 9 feet above the concrete which is 1 to 2 feet above the racing surface...... so total height above the dirt will be approx. 10 feet.

Hey guys, in the registration process it is important to hit the button marked "Click to complete registration" (or something like that) after you have paid for the registration. If you do not do this, it will mark you down as registered, put pending payment. For anyone who has registered and paid, please go back to RCRaceRegistration.com and confirm that it has your name as registered AND paid. If you have a problem, let me know oliveraspinwall@psychonitroblast.com or call me at 404-323-5626 and I will let Jon Martin know to fix the issue with your registration.

Hey guys, I encourage any of you that are planning on attending this race and planning to pit in either a hotel room or in a trailer or actually anywhere other than inside the arena to purchase some FRS (Family Radio Service) two way radios. They come in packs of two and are available at many places, like Walmart, for 20 bucks. All of the race announcing that will be heard over the loudspeakers of the PA system will be simultaneously broadcast over a predesignated channel of one of these radios. This will keep you constantly informed of any important announcements, but most importantly will keep you up on what is happening on the track...... who is turning fast laps, who just broke out of the heat, how your racing buddies are doing in their heats or mains, and any intense battles happening on the track.
Another helpful hint is that you can simply plug a set of computer speakers to into the radio and you will have plenty of volume to hear over your generator or your noisy pit partner.
Side note: We will be using a high-powered transmitter (5 watts in this case) that the manufacturer claims will transmit up to 26 miles. The hotels listed on our website are much closer than 26 miles. The issue is that we are not in line-of-sight with the hotels and we are transmitting from inside a huge metal building, so you may or may not get the signal in a hotel room. We will do a test later to find out if it will work (fingers crossed.)
