I'm wondering if Savannah was asked to participate? It's hard to believe they would decline.... From my understanding and everyone that I have talked to down here was that there was going to be a in Savannah. I haven't spoke to Mark since the Final GA series race at loganville last year and he said that the series would be cut to 6 races and include loganville, rodslingers, and savannah. Oh well, guess i'm gonna have to travel now.

Oh I'm not worried by any means. There is always other races to go to. I was just asking for a couple other people too.

Since the decissions are made behind the scenes about series, I highly doubt that there will be any public explanation as to why the series is set up the way it is. If the series coordinators want us to know, then they will tell us.
I for one like that it changes every year, it keeps it interesting and gets racers to tracks that we normally don't go to.

I like the fact that it is just a little more than an hour to all three tracks for me.

A few have been asking about the GCS.Here are a few things we will do this year. The rules will be the same as last year as far as the classes and vehicles.(pro series rules)There will be 4 classes this year,1/8 scale sportsman, monster truck, unlimited truck,1/8 scale pro.We will have a rain day of sunday for each race. There will be a money payout at each round for the top 5 finishers instead of plaques and a money payout at the final for 1st thru 10th in points.Full Throttle Hobbies will sponcer the 1/8scale pro and unlimited classes.Rodslinger Raceway will sponcer the Monster class and we are looking for a sponcer for the Sportsman class.Together we will provide trophys for 2nd thru 5th and a special something for 1st place in each class.Eddie at Full Throttle is working on T-shirts for the series and will have them at each race. The points will be the same as last year and there will be one throw out race.We will keep the 20 extra points for making all 6 races and the final race will be a double points race.In case of ties in the points,Whoever has the best finish in the final will lead. The final race will be a 2 day event with 3 or 4 rounds of 10 minute qualifiers on saturday and 45 minute mains and the trophy presentation on sunday. We would like to thank everyone who raced in this series last year. There were over 600 entries in 8 races(75 each race average). We would like to keep this number growing and make this a great series this year.

I guess more people want money than trophies.

You know I kinda agree with John Tanner folks like getting stickers or plaques or something for Racing Folks like me that finsih in the back may get $2.00 I guess I could frame that and make my own plaque [ ]

I'd like to see trophies too and agree to a point but wouldn't consider not running the series over it. IMO...This series is a great opportunity for some good ol healthy competition and fun hangin out with your friends. The awards are just a perk.
